This May we decided it was time to check out the Gulf Coast. We went to a few spot to see if we might want to do an investment property here. Thanks to a mistake I made with our dates, or maybe no thanks, we stayed in 3 different spots. Orange Beach on the further West end and our preferred spot closer to restaurants etc. Definitely see how it’s called the Redneck Riviera!

You can see from the water color how it got bluer the further east we went. Here’s the view from the spot a little further east in Orange Beach.

We stayed this time in one of the Phoenix condos, they were ok. We of course had to enjoy some of the local cuisine at a nearby spot, Live Bait Restaurant. It was pretty good! We spent most of our time driving the coast to see what investment opportunities there may be. We got back from MI with just enough time to chill on the beach before Sunset.

Our final stay was in Destin which was SO beautiful! You can see the water color is so much more blue! We rented a condo off VRBO and loved it, it was quite nice.

We tried to enjoy a little more downtime once here. We spent one day driving 30A with a realtor and decided we might prefer being on the Atlantic side, closer to Orlando. We walked to a local wing place, my hubby is a bit of a connoisseur, it was fabulous. Such a strange thing to recall, but the celery was AMAZING! Best we’ve ever had with wings, we still talk about it! We were sad to be leaving so soon. But it was time to head back to the grind.
