Since we have a time share at Viva Wyndham Maya, we decided to bring some friends down from Denver. The weather was amazing, the water warm, and the relaxation much needed.

We spent a lot of time just reading on the beach, which was fabulous. Then one day we went to Tulum, BRING YOUR BUG SPRAY IF YOU GO!!

Since we were getting up early to drive to Tulum, we enjoyed the sunrise on the beach first.

We all got chewed by the mosquitos. From there we walked down to the beach and then left because of all the bites we were getting.

We found a local place for delicious road side tacos and tortas. It doesn’t have a website but it’s on the North East corner of the intersection Cancun/Playa del Carmen (307) and the Road to Coba (10). DELISH!

From here we drove to Gran Cenote some people call it Grand Cenote. This was my favorite cenote we’ve visited so far. Absolutely gorgeous. And with some dark further in spots where the brave can dive down .

From here we stopped at Cenote Azul. It was hard to choose which cenotes to stop at, but we enjoyed both. Azul was fun, and had a cliff to jump off of, which the four of us did, but the water wasn’t nearly as clear as Gran. And the snorkeling not as cool either.
