This time when we went to visit family in Nova Scotia, we opted for a few days on Prince Edward Island. It was typical east coast ocean with grassy knolls along the sea shore. It was quite peaceful there, and a lovely place to visit. We stayed at a homey, basic motel. It worked just fine for us, a separate bedroom for us, and a kitchen to make meals if we wanted to. One morning we walked around Green Gables, and that afternoon, we spent time at Cavendish Beach, near where we stayed.

On the way back to Wolfville we visited Thunder Cove Beach in Darnley. The ocean had eaten away the arch we were searching for but still a lovely stop.

From there it was on to Victoria Park in Truro, also on our way home. It was a fabulous park, but bring your bug spray! Wow were we bit!

While in Wolfville, we spent an afternoon at Aylesford Lake Beach, another wonderful spot on our trip.
