Our friends drove down from Sofia, Bulgaria to spend the weekend with us in Greece. It was a lovely, leisurely stay. On our way from Meteora, we stopped in Thessaloniki and saw the White Tower, grabbed some gyro, strolled through Ano Poli, and then drove on to Metarmofosi where we were meeting our friends.

We enjoyed a wonderful seafood meal on the beach, at Taverna Antgoni. The beach where we stayed, Porto Matina, was great. Dinner was included too, and the beach was nice. The water wasn’t as clear as Koviou Beach, but still nice.

On Saturday we drove over to Koviou Beach and stayed the day.

Before our drive home to Sofia with our friends, we stopped at a delicious gyro place, O Meraklis, and then drove past the beach on our way out. We also stopped at Virginia Olive Oil & Olives, they’ve got great Greek olives! From there it was about a 4.5 hour drive to Sofia.
