We were supposed to meet Jenna’s friend in Rome, and then drive down to Sorrento, where we’d catch a ferry to the Isla Capri. Buuuuut, there was bad weather so they cancelled the ferries. Boo! We also had delayed flights so we didn’t make it to Pompeii before they closed. So while it seemed like a long drive for nothing, there were some incredible views along the way!
The kids had been to Italy once before, when they were 4, 6 and 8, so they didn’t remember a ton. And Hope, Jenna’s friend, had never been, so we ate a lovely dinner in Sorrento, and then drove back up to Rome. We spent the night there and woke up early to do a quick, I mean QUICK, tour of Rome before we head out!
From there it was a quick drive by of Florence and then we sped on to Pisa. The tower was closed but we still got some great pics!
