We decided to rent a beach house when we realized all six of our kiddos, and the hubbies and grand-kiddos, were all going to San Diego at the same time. The hubby’s sister from Nova Scotia, and family, were coming for a visit and everyone wanted to be in San Diego to see them. We had a wonderful week long stay, on the bay side, but it was perfect really. Just across the alley to the bay, and then across the main street, and an alley to the beach. While it was definitely a sandy week, it was a great time with family.

I think my favorite was waking up and taking the older kids the look for seashells and dolphins. The beach is definitely my happy place.

We also drove over to The Cove to look at the seals, that’s always a must when you’re in San Diego.
