When our friend took a teaching position in Sofia, Bulgaria, we couldn’t resist an opportunity to visit another country. So at the end of our Scandinavian trip with our daughter Jenna, we had an extended layover in Poland and then flew to Sofia.

They showed us around and we really enjoyed our time there. We ate at Hadjidragonov’s Cellars, which was fabulous!

We went on a walking tour of town where we saw many things, including Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, and Vitosha Blvd.

Our friends lived right off a park, it was lovely taking their dog for a walk there.

My friend Lindsay and I went for a girls trip up to Panagyurishte. We stayed at the Spa Hotel Kamengrad and enjoyed their spa services, their many saunas and the local area. It ended my time in Sofia on a great note!
