From Melbourne we flew to Queenstown. We had a few stops near here. We hoped right in the car and head to Wanaka. We stopped there for some delicious pizza and then head up to Rob Roy Glacier. It’s just breathtaking country here. I could easily move to this dreamland movie scape.

One thing we were unprepared for was how long it would take to drive places. After the hike we drove down to Fiordland National Park where we stayed for the night. It was after midnight when we arrived. Thank goodness John had some Rock Starts to keep him awake!

The next morning we woke up early to head our for our cruise. It was chilly out on deck but once again, we were wowed by the scenery.

From there we drove to KoeKohe Beach where we walked among the Moeraki Boulders. And then onto our hotel in Dunedin, just walking distance from the beach.

The next morning we had some time to kill before our flight so we checked out Tunnel Beach and the Baldwin St., the world’s steepest residential road.
