Israel. No other trip has such meaning to us, such spiritual depth. This is easily one of our favorite trips. We’re planning our 5th trip for February 2017, with our two youngest children.
The first trip you feel like a firehose is aimed at you the whole time. There is so much information that your trying to soak up, it’s nearly impossible. Each trip after that become more and more relaxed. You feel more able to just enjoy where you are, and spend time walking where Jesus walked.
Each trip has been a little different. We will see different things, experience it with different people, different times of year. I think my favorite time of year has been the spring time. One trip we actually got to see the poppies scattered across the hillside, just gorgeous!
While we haven’t yet, we just might plan a trip out there on our own sometime. Each time we’ve gone with our church. One trip we brought along my parents, our 4 oldest children and our best friends, now THAT was an amazing trip!
The areas in Palestinian controlled areas feel a little scary to me. Galilee and Jerusalem are awesome though!
