Having lived in Denver for 21 years, we determined THIS would be the year we finally drove up to Breckenridge to see the ice sculptures and castle. It was a cold day but being our 21st anniversary, we thought it would be a great day to drive up. After our hot air balloon ride, we loaded up the kids and drove to Breckenridge. We enjoyed the ice castle in the daylight and then had our favorite calzones from Giampetros. http://www.giampietropizza.com Anytime we are in Breck it’s a must have for us. As well as a crepe. After dinner, we walked back over to enjoy the ice at night. The lights make it an even more magical experience. It was absolutely worth the drive up!
